Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles prepare for Donovan McNabb and the Washington Redskins. This is the first game McNabb will play in a Redskins uniform against his former team that drafted him second overall in the Spring 1999 NFL Draft. He has a shot at revenge, although he has proclaimed the matchup to be nothing more than just another game. I hope for a great game because I'm a fan of his and his former team, so it's hard to decide. The other team will not change their game or welcoming ceremony. Even if it is McNabb, he is a Redskin, and like any other opposing teams, they do not receive the best welcoming.
Game day for McNabb wwill be faced with many boos. They never wanted him in the draft. But in 2001, he took them to the NFC championship before the Super Bowl. He did that four times, until he lost to the Patriots in 2004. He has yet to reach another Super Bowl. On the other side of the ball for Michael Vick, he also brought his team, The Atlanta Falcons, to the conference championship game but lost to the Eagles that same year in 2004. He also has yet to reach the Super Bowl.
Now as starters for their new teams, fans and players alike have playoff expectations. The first rivalry game will take place in Philadelphia and then Washington for week 10.
I'm an avid fans of both Vick and McNabb. Good luck to both of these QBs.
